Freezing cold, very windy, and poor visibility on the mountain yesterday, but I still had a great day. It made me think, why do people enjoy different things? I know many people in Sapporo who hate snow and cold weather, and others who feel the opposite, like me.

And why do some people enjoy learning a language, and others don’t want to try?

What is it about our personalities that makes us so different? Is it nature (from our genetic make-up) or nurture (how we are brought up)?

Some people are so optimistic, yet others find it so hard to look on the bright side of life. (That reminds me: watch this – from Monty Python’s Life of Brian, which is very famous if you’re British.)

What makes you interested and like what you do?
What has made you interested in reading this blog post?

  1. My “problem” is, that I like anything that I don’t know or understand. As soon as I understand it, it becomes boring and I seek new hobbies or even jobs… (*^ ^*)

  2. Hi! What makes you fun, like, interested and crazy? I’m sure you love that thing and doing it well, and also feel so comfortable when doing it. There’s no reason about it. I love trying something new. Then I love I feel opening and spreading something new. But I may be bored of doing it someday too as Eva said. But, skiing, learning English and reading your blog are Soooo fun!!!!! I’ll never , never, be fed up with them. I almost forgot ……also, drinking, eating, dancing and singing.

    • What makes you have fun, like something, be interested in something and be crazy about something?
      Your reasons are exactly right.
I’m glad you like trying new things, and I’m also glad that you love all the things you said! Please keep on enjoying them!
