Freezing cold, very windy, and poor visibility on the mountain yesterday, but I still had a great day. It made me think, why do people enjoy different things? I know many people in Sapporo who hate snow and cold weather, and others who feel the opposite, like me.
And why do some people enjoy learning a language, and others don’t want to try?
What is it about our personalities that makes us so different? Is it nature (from our genetic make-up) or nurture (how we are brought up)?
Some people are so optimistic, yet others find it so hard to look on the bright side of life. (That reminds me: watch this – from Monty Python’s Life of Brian, which is very famous if you’re British.)
